Private Messages

Quick question. Are the private messages working on here? I've sent several (including one to pthub) and have had no reply so thought I'd write this just in case they aren't working.

Does an email get sent to that person when they get a message or do they only know they have one after they've logged on to this site?

hiya

i have sent you a pm :)

the default is set so no notification is sent!
however to email a forum member simply...

click on there username
select view there profile
and then there is an email option in that part (unless they have changed it in there ownsettings to no)

ive just changed it so that all new registered users from now on will get a notification via email if they have a private message
if you want to change this so this doesnt happen, visit the usercp section in the menu above :)

if someone wants to email all users and its in line with the forum rules

Thanks for that. I think it will make things a lot better until we get a lot of people on the forum and we all get used to visiting regularly
