Evening all,

I am seriously looking into qualifying as a PT. I have just finished an MSc in Coaching Science and am looking to go onto PhD study in September and feel working as a PT would be ideal alongisde my study.

My circumstances are that I need to complete a course as quickly as possible and also as cheaply as possible. I'm comfortable in doing this as I have a good knowledge of fitness at present having worked as a sport scientist at a football club last season and also working towards my UKSCA accreditation.

I've found the home study option through PT academy available for £995 and wondered if anyone has had or know of any dealings with the company? As the saying goes, "usually, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is" so I am doing my homework on them before investing.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Rhys

Hi Rhyss, I stumbled across the same offer earlier this year and was amazed to find it so cheap. I called them to find out more details and spoke to a girl called Zoe. She explained the setup, delivery and content of the course and convinced me it was a deal too good to be missed.

The course itself was a home study so I was given different learning resources along with guidance on how to complete my portfolio, I'm glad in hindsight as it seemed daunting when I received it all.

There were several things that stick out for me, One of the things I liked was that had a dedicated etutor who I could email my enquiries. The other thing was I was not restricted to how many training days I could attend. I also had a safety net of unlimited resist for free.

All in all I had a very pleasant experience and am now working as a freelance PT.

Hope this helps!!
